Hygiene 



The autocrat in charge of cleaning is Baroness Tova of Attemark (Marina Hägg).


Wood fired hot tubs

The Double War site have two wood fired hot tubs. The autocrat in charge of the tubs is Countess Agnes Odygd.

 

Everyone over the age of 15 are welcome to use them.

 

The volunteers/autocrats clean the hot tubs once during the event (on wednesday). If the tub water is dirty you are welcome to empty the hot tub and clean it yourself. 

 

If you need to clean a hot tub:

  • Make sure the heater is cold before you empty the tub.
  • Do not use any chemicals, just use a scrubbing brush and rinse with water. (Scrubbing brushes can be found in the room adjacent to the sauna.)
  • When you refill the hot tub make sure the water level covers the heater before you fire it up. Do not leave the hose unattended!

 

 

Sauna

The Double War site has a wood fired sauna that everyone is welcome to use.

 

Please remember to close the doors when you leave the sauna otherwise there will be slugs everywhere! Also remember to bring with you any cans and bottles when you leave.

 

If you clean the sauna:

  • Do not use any chemicals on the wood, just use a scrubbing brush and rinse with water!
  • Cleaning utensils can be found in the room adjacent to the sauna.



Toilets

There are lots of toilets in both areas of encampment outdoors (16+16) and 3 wc in the tavern (1 handicap access).


If you wish to help out with cleaning the toilets and sauna durig the event, and/or sweeping the floors of the common areas, information is placed in every designated area.


Thank you for your help with keeping the site clean!



Showers

There will be hot water showers available on site during the event, for the moment we don’t know how many. We will update as soon as we know!


What we do know is:

Two outdoor showers will be available by the sauna.


If there is an outdoor shower it will not be attached to any sort of sewage system. For this reason it is important that you use eco-friendly products when you shower on site. Please, choose products with an ecolabel such as “Svanen” (Nordic countries) or “Bra Miljöval” (Sweden)!


Since there will be over 300 guests attending - please think about sharing the hot water with the next person – do not take long showers!
