Due to the ongoing pandemic Double Wars will not be happening this year. Instead of Double Wars we can all look forward to and start planning for Plague Wars.
Plague Wars will be as much or as little camping, fighting, crafting, hanging out, cooking and chatting with our friends as you want it to be. We encourage you to create your own medieval space where you can participate in the activities you want to.
This might be a camp with 1, 8, 12 or 20 other people depending on what you want and what your local mundane restrictions allow for in someone's backyard, in your living room or a small campsite that you and your friends rent. Our goal for Plague Wars is to give all of you the opportunity to hang out with friends and do the activities we love doing in a setting that works for us individually and to get a break from the modern world.
Garb is encouraged but not obligatory. You can participate the full 4 days or just a couple of hours.
There will be daily online sessions to hang out and chat, we will have some organized activities, classes and competitions where we can share our participation online but the focus will be on doing things in your medieval space and not sitting in front of your computer or phone for hours on end, if you don’t wish to of course. For those who want to and we hope that bardic activities and socializing will take place in the evenings both offline in your medieval spaces and online in zoom rooms.
More details about the event, registration forms and volunteer sign-up will be coming in the next month or two on our website, the facebook event and in the Dragon’s Tale.
