Since Double Wars is mostly a tent camp event we highly encourage outdoor cooking and eating, but for those who want to pre-order food we offer brunch and dinner. Remember to bring your feast gear.
You book your meals when you register. If already registered, send an email to double.wars.reg@gmail.com no later than April 11th. If you have already registered but wish to change your meal booking, send an email to doublewars.reg @gmail.com. Note that booking or cancelling of meals must be done no later than April 11th.
You specify allergies and other food preferences on the registration form. We will do everything in our power, within reason, to meet these requests, however, if you are super allergic we recommend a backup plan.
There would not be any Double Wars if it wasn’t for all our fantastic volunteers. Taking a shift or two in the kitchen is not only appreciated, but also highly recommended – the crew is great and we have a lot of fun together. And if that’s not enough: if you work a shift you get that meal for free!
There are two morning shifts for brunch. No cooking skills required.
Dinner will be made by a different team each day. Keep your ears open and check on facebook if any teams are looking for more members or contact the head autocrats if you want to create your own team for one of the days.
Youth under 15 y/o are especially encouraged to sign up for coffee duty (which is by far the most important job in the kitchen) and stamping food tickets.
You can find the link to sign up here. You won’t regret it!
We serve traditional, modern breakfast to be able to accommodate everybody’s morning meal needs. This includes, but is not limited to, yoghurt, bread, porridge, eggs, cornflakes etc, and sometimes even pancakes or bacon or International specialties. And most importantly: Coffee.
